Temer assina decreto definindo salário mínimo de 2018 em R$ 954
O presidente da República, Michel Temer, assinou nesta sexta-feira, 29, decreto que fixa em R$ 954 o valor do salário mínimo em 2018, aumento de R$ 17 em relação ao valor em vigor. Atualmente, o salário mínimo está em R$ 937.
A medida será publicada ainda nesta sexta em edição extra do “Diário Oficial da União”. O reajuste valerá a partir de 1º de janeiro.
O reajuste do salário mínimo é menor do que a estimativa que havia sido aprovada pelo Congresso Nacional, de R$ 965. O valor é definido por um cálculo que leva em conta a inflação do ano anterior e o crescimento do Produto Interno Bruto (PIB) dos dois anos anteriores.
O decreto presidencial estabelece ainda que o valor diário do salário mínimo corresponderá a R$ 31,8, e o valor horário, a R$ 4,34.
O valor de R$ 954 que valerá para 2018 é 1,81% maior que os R$ 937 do salário mínimo de 2017.
Cerca de 45 milhões de pessoas no Brasil recebem salário mínimo, entre aposentados e pensionistas, cujos benefícios são, ao menos em parte, pagos pelo governo federal.
O reajuste do salário mínimo é feito a partir de uma fórmula que soma:
*A variação do Índice Nacional de Preços ao Consumidor (INPC) do ano anterior, calculado pelo IBGE;
*E o resultado do Produto Interno Bruto (PIB) de dois anos antes.
No caso de 2018, portanto, está sendo somado o resultado do PIB de 2016, que foi de queda de 3,6%, com o INPC de 2017. Como o resultado do PIB de 2016 foi negativo, o reajuste do salário mínimo é feito apenas pela variação do INPC.
Neste caso, portanto, o 1,81% de variação do INPC é uma estimativa do governo, já que o percentual exato só será conhecido em janeiro.
Como o valor do INPC de 2017 só será conhecido em janeiro, o governo faz o reajuste do salário mínimo com uma previsão que.
Entre janeiro e novembro de 2017, a variação do INPC foi de 1,80%. Já a mais recente avaliação do mercado financeiro, colhida pelo Banco Central na semana passada, estima que a variação do INPC neste ano fique em 2,16%.
